okay first of all, Im an elitist because i care about music. If i didn't know what i was talking about then i wouldn't be so vocal with my opinions. And also using the words "everybody else" in this situation si completely wrong, im rather sure that most people on this forum would tend to agree that these trendy bands that teenagers seem to love so much are garbage

Second of all, your going to mayhem fest for those bands when Mayhem, Cannibal corpse, slayer, and the black dahlia murder are playing? shame.

I hate to break it to you man but Cannibal Corpse and The Black Dahlia Murder are just as shitty as Bullet For My Valentine and Trivium.

Boring death metal. If you could understand the absolutely gross morbid lyrics, that'd be another downside.

This is all opinion though, I'm not gonna say that your taste sucks because you like CC.

It's for shock value, I find them funny frequently. If you're offended by them I take it you've never heard Anal Cunt?

What death metal bands DO you like?

I'll answer my own question: Cannibal Corpse, Death, Entombed, Morbid Angel, Napalm Death, Obituary, Tiamat, Carcass, At the Gates, Cradle of Filth, Deicide, Hypocrisy, and In Flames. Yeah, I like death metal

Yes, I've heard of Anal Cunt. The difference is, Anal **** writes hateful lyrics, whereas Cannibal Corpse just makes gross ones.

And I'm not really into death metal at all. I like Opeth, but they hardly count. I've just never had the interest to explore the genre, but I assure you that if I do, I will not be listening to Cannibal Corpse.

I might check out Nile, they seem pretty cool.
