Default The Skids

Surprisingly there's no thread on these guys.

They're the band responsible for the original version of "The Saints Are Coming", which was way better before these two weird bands called U2 and Green Day decided to do a cover of it. They're also the band that gave us "Into The Valley", which is associated with some soccer team. I don't know if I'd call them punk or post-punk.

I've only downloaded their debut, Scared To Dance, which is pretty good. I need to check out more.

Any idea what soccer team that is? Charlton?

Dunno an awful lot about these guys - did their singer die a while back?

Street Dogs covered Into The Valley on State of Grace.

..and their local team Dunfermline too. I can't say that they ever set the world on fire to be honest.

"Into the Valley" is great. I always get this band confused with The Rich Kids, which has a suprisingly great first album.
