Ex-BLINK 182 bassist MARK HOPPUS has been confirmed to be joining the legendary band SUBLIME taking the place of the late BRADLEY NOWELL. MARK HOPPUS plans on joining the band on a nation wide reunion tour, and possibly a new album; he'll play guitar and sing, just like Nowell. Sublime's drummer, BUD GAUGH, has been quoted saying, "Mark is a cool guy, and fits with the rest of the band. He's a great singer and great guitar player and we can't wait to hit the road with him." There's no word on tour dates yet, but when they come up we'll be the first to let you know.
this is so exciting. my two favorite bands are becoming one :tramp:

Yes... you must listen to the guy with six-hundred and sixty-six posts.

I'm pretty apathetic towards this "news" but if it helps you guys there's no information on it anywhere. So it's probably a bunch of crap. However they are going to be reuniting with a new singer and the list of potential candidates is pretty bad and Mark Hoppus wasn't on the list.

theres not really going to be another Bradley Nowell (is that really his name, its been so long).

The combination of things that led to who he was isn't exactly in large supply.

Filling someone in would be terrible.

Yeah, considering how much Long Beach Dub Allstars sucked, it's pretty clear that he was the major creative force in Sublime.

has there EVER been a reunion tour that wasn't just a cash grab though?

what's next? is the jesus hippie from the spin doctors going to start fronting blind melon?

Rockafella 12-05-2008 07:08 PM

Searched everywhere and can't find a smiggen of proof to this rumor.

Anyone have any links?

Really go hope it's a rumor.

Just about anyone would be a disgrace to Brad and Sublime.
