New Rancid CD delayed....AGAIN!
So I just found out the new yet to be named 7th offering from Rancid will not be out late this year as previously stated but will be delayed until early 2009. Stop me if I'm wrong but haven't they been delaying this release since like early 2007? I'm not sure I'm even intersted anymore with all the bull**** and drama it can't possibly live up to the hype.

I have a mixed opinion of Rancid. On one hand, their music's all right, they have a more classic punk sound, but on the other hand, they're kinda going downhill.
I'm interested to know what the songs will sound like though.

I agree, I haven't really liked their sound since "Life Won't Wait". The big hype on their new release was that they were supposed to be getting back to their roots and the album would have a more early Rancid sound to it. I'm just fed up with waiting.

In addtion to all the delays (I count 6) they've split with their longtime drummer Bret Reed citing personal differences and there are reports that both Tim and Lars are battling addictions that could or could not be the reason for postponing the new release. I saw them recently too and they looked a little tired, oh well, thats just my opinion. I'd be more than happy to eat my words if this new CD turns out to be any good. I'm still a fan (for now).
