the way its looking today is the punk scene is becoming to user friendly no more nitty gritty punk all the emo sounds the same its getting quite annoying

all the "emo" that sounds the same isn't really emo at all.

so what is emo?

it depends where you're looking. if you're looking on mtv (which doesnt really play any punk), then obviously it's not going to be "nitty gritty". there's still plenty of relatively unknown bands that have that gritty sound to it, as well as a good number of widely known ones.

Stop *****ing, if you look at it every type of music has real and fake, real punk, fake punk etc. its never gonna end as long as music shows continue showing them. so don't ***** to us...

most of the "new music" is somehow manufactured by the record companies...creative license has gone out the door...you won't find anything like Crass, or Black Flag these days...Emo does suck in my opinion...it's nothing but a bunch of whiny boy-girls crying into there popcorn bucket and abusing women. Funny as hell, but unlistenable.

We don't really need to be bumping a 5 year old thread just to say 'emo sucks' now do we.
