So, according to the opening post, Punk is a 3 star genre. Seems a little harsh..I mean, come on, some bands deserve 4, even 5 stars.

I think the folks that say it is dead are the ones who have grown up and moved on with life. Considering they were "manufactured" by Malcolm Mclaren and not an empty suit record exec I don't really mind.

Besides that to say they were "manufactured" in the sense the earlier poster was talking about isn't a very fair comparison..

But yeah, as long as the music sounds good I really don't care.
