I'm partial to the Fat Wreck Chords/Epitaph style of punk. Lagwagon, Millencolin, NOFX, MxPx, Pennywise, etc. Most classic punk elitists hate it, but skaters (eg. me) love it. I also love Ramones and The Clash. I dig quite a few Misfits, Dead Kennedys, and Bad Brains tracks too.

We went back there and they had come and hacked off every inoculated arm. There they were in a pile. A pile of little arms. And I remember... I... I... I cried. I wept like some grandmother. I wanted to tear my teeth out. I didn't know what I wanted to do. And I want to remember it. I never want to forget it. I never want to forget. And then I realized... like I was shot... like I was shot with a diamond... a diamond bullet right through my forehead. And I thought: My God... the genius of that. |

punk isnt music, punk isnt giving a ****, and thats why they play there instruments so badly, dress so badly, and sing so badly. you cant compete with whirlwind, you can only be sucked in. AND THAT WHIRLWIND IS PUNK.
anyway what would you rather have? 2 and a half minutes of screaming and and ugly guitars, or a ****ing 10 minute prog rock concept song with bongos. its just a simple question. guitars or bongos? |

yeah I have to agree with that. Punk was needed at the time. Today I find it to be the same boring shlock pushed into a talentless corner because anyone who shows a glimmer of interest isn't punk enough.
And lets not even begin to talk about that flagrantly ridiculous "strait-edge" movement. What a bunch of brainwashed looney toons.
