i forgot to mention the unseen, murder city devils, op ivy, the descendents (kinda poppunk), fugazi, filth, and dead kennedies.
some nonpunk bands i dig- strokes, nin, tool, libertines, the cure, pixies, gomez, pj harvey, sonic youth... hell i could be here all night

yeah...i like the ones mentioned...there are a few very important ones though:
-operation ivy
-rancid (along with all spin-off bands)
-dead kennedys
-the vandals (don't know if they were mentioned)
-buzz****s

All of those bands suck exept for FILTH, DK, and the cure is okay like the really old songs is all I've been able to listen to. I'd only know about them through AFI. Thats why theyre great because theyre inspired by so many different styles. I heard they were going to start using more electronic stuff and Davey started an electronic band with Jade. But I don't think they should anymore cause thats gotten too popular since then. You shouldn't let the mainstream control you though. So maybe itll be okay.
