i forgot to mention the unseen, murder city devils, op ivy, the descendents (kinda poppunk), fugazi, filth, and dead kennedies.
some nonpunk bands i dig- strokes, nin, tool, libertines, the cure, pixies, gomez, pj harvey, sonic youth... hell i could be here all night

yea, most that stuff is pretty rad. Blood brothers I dont like but most of its good stuff. I bought a Greg Ginn solo ep yesterday for .50 and its suprisingly good. Funny stuf but good anyway.

i love that list but good charlotte, simple plan, green day, mest, rancid, reel big fish, goldfinger, the used, and i know there is more but i cant think.
good charlotte is still the best ****ing band ever.they are so ****ing sexy! ecspecially joel and benji madden!

uh.....well its music that i like. i wasnt trying to classify anything or define anything, if thats what you were hoping for. also, the music is not that much different . remember this is a punk forum, i wouldnt bring up things that are "irrelevant" to the forum.

Out of the lists I like the Clash, the Descendents, the Sex Pistols, Sonic Youth and the Pixies. I like some Ramones stuff too.

i love how all these punk threads somehow always go back to gc and simple plan. that's great. just what i wanted.

^ yeah I know, from now on I think I'm just going to pretend that any post concerning GC or simple plan just doesn't exist, maybe then they'll all just fade away.

nah i mean the point im trying to make is that they r the most common punk bands among pop-punk who try n be punk...they think good charlotte and simple plan r the best and only punk bands out there but they havent opened their ears to hear the skills out there. i mean those bands r ok but im more into the used, ramones, nofx stuff like that, just seems that alot of people forget about the classic bands that aint really known

^ those bands you mentioned are just as well known, maybe with a different crowd. but bands like ramones, nofx, used, clash, antiflag i think are all poppunk- but theres nothin bad about that. gc/simpleplan/greenday/blink theres lots of groups like that, some you like some you dont. who really cares whats popular or not? people who think these are the best punk clearly have no idea what theyre talkin about (and there arent too many people on this forum who think that way anyhow)
