Default Good Punk Bands

I am fairly new to the punk genre, and honestly do not know many good bands. I was wondering what bands would be a good listen. Any advice would be very helpful...thanks.

I can't stress this enough. This is a timeless album. Angry teenagers turned to all this pop/punk or hardcore punk when this album intelligently and furiously talks about injustices in society. This album introduced me to 'classic' rock.

I don't turn to pop-punk when I'm angry, I turn to it when I'm in a good mood.

I like punk styled music played by people with socially acceptable hair cuts

I recommend

Fugazi
Leatherface
Dag Nasty
Husker Du
Paint It Black

I don't think there are many UK punk fans here. I like GBH as well as Discharge, UK Subs, Explioted, Conflict.

Some good pop-punk to check out is:

Screeching Weasel
Descendents
The Buzzcocks
The Queers

Well, classic pop-punk.

If you want some new skate-inspired pop-punk, check out Lagwagon and Millencolin. Great bands.
