Dinosaur Jr. and Husker Du are another two good post-hardore bands.

Speaking of which, what do you guys consider "post-hardcore"? I generally refer to it as bands which grew from hardcore punk to experiment, generally embracing a more melodic sound/a heavy pop sound, but alot of people refer to what I call "metal-core" (Hatebreed, Therefore I Am, etc.) as "post-hardcore".

I'd say the first example and i think most people would too, it's one of those horrible vague tags though that i hate using.

Same here. Alot of my friends listen to Metalcore so it gets confusing when I tell them I hate their music, but I love post-hardcore bands.

Well, I consider post-hardcore to be everything from Fugazi to Alexisonfire. My favorite post-hardcore band is definitely At The Drive-In. Gotta love them.
