Labels can be very subjective, but i think most of us can agree that it is good hard to classify music.
One of my favorite bands for sure. I am currently OBSESSED with this song (Last Chance For a Slow Dance: Great Fugazi clip, meh quality though.

Emo? That's one of the last things I'd call them. I can't think of one specific genre to call them, but they have a lot of post-hardcore, punk and funk with a sense of experimentation in most of their albums. I've just recently got into them, so my knowledge of them is somewhat limited. I've only listen to Red Medicine and The Argument so far. I like Red Medicine better, which is apparently the album they began to experiment more in. Both albums are great though.
