There's bands that are way better then all three. Uk Subs and Stiff Little Fingers and such, I'd have to say th eclash from thi slist. There should just be a best punk band poll.

When I saw that Urban had replied to this thread I knew I was getting my ass kicked...I didn't know it would be so simple though

I don't know, I love UK Subs, I'm not very knowledgeable on punk though, so I'm sure there are much better bands then them around.

In all honesty, I'm not that knowledgeable on punk either, the first wave anyways. Like, I know the bands, I just don't listen to them.

Plenty of awesome less-known punk bands, but I love The Clash.
Seriously. "Combat Rock" is perfect.

Only a Canadian could make such a ridiculous statement. To understand what the Pistols were about you had to be in the UK in 76, half the country on strike, rubbish piled high in the streets, poverty was rife, music was the glam rock era and so cliched and predictable. The Pistols were the antidote to safe mundane music and challenged what was sociably acceptable. They never claimed to be the best musicians/lyricists around, what they were however were an influence to many to pick up an instrument and have a go in a band.
