Syd was a junkie punk version of Nick Carter hired purely to make the Sex Pistols look more rebellious. Not punk at all, quite the opposite.

I still argue though that as the years go by the Pistols have lost a lot of ground in their relevance, The Ramones were around before them and The Clash were more innovative. Year by year more people seem to see the emperors new clothes

Yeah I don't mind Lydon I just hate Sid Vicious and thinks it ridiculous people seem as punk in anyway when he was just as fake as they come. Not only was he fake he was a murdering, talentless, junkie twat.

Anyway my feelings towards the big 3 punk bands is this: I got bored of the Sex Pistols in a few months and am pretty indifferent towards them now. I've been listening to the Ramones and the Clash, more so the Ramones, since middle school.
