Yeah. Back in their early days, AFI was a hardcore band, but wasn't getting airplay or selling a lot of records. Then they "matured" musically and signed to a major label, and now they sell tons of records.

holy **** listen. i mean American Idiot was not PUNK. but Green Day are punk and always will be. They strayed away from punk when they created American Idiot. Why do dislike the album?

Green Day, to me, is commercialized pop-punk.

Real pop-punk is like Descendents, Bracket or MxPx.

Couldn't give a stuff if people think Green Day are punk or not.

All I know is if you think they are better than this.....

You've totally missed the point of what punk is.
