I just think they were all style and their music was lame. No offense if you like them.

The Sex Pistols revolutionised Punk and inspired a whole genre of musicians that followed...i guess some people just cant be pleased lol

Their music being lame was cool and insipring to the clash and countless other bands, musicly they were not that good but lyricly they or John Lydon was brillant. Style well...i don't know what to say about that

They were great lyrically, perhaps I went too far in saying I hated them.

I hate them, and I don't think I'm going to far. I don't give a rat's ass if they were influential. Their music still sucked, in my opinion.

Don't mind if you like them though. Everyone has a different taste.

The Sex Pistols are just some 70s BS somebody dug up to market as "punk" so elitists could feel good about themselves.

The Sex Pistols fanboys really need to stop overstating the Sex Pistols importance.

No, I mean, when bands like Simple Plan and Good Charlotte started coming out, people were stating (correctly) "that's not punk!" so the executives needed a band to represent "true punk" for the elite market. But wait! "punk is dead"!! We need to find a band that was around then! so they go and dig "Johnny Rotten" out from whatever hole he had retreated to, and got them to reform. :soapbox:
