You'd have to add Bad Brains to that. They made less albums, but they endure. Even with the kids today, and the sorry **** they mistake for punk, you still see Bad Brains having the cache they've had with previous generations.

Flag was badass, with Keith Morris. That would be their pinnacle.

strange there isnt a poll attached to this thread about whos better keith or hank.... personally i think hank killed black flag and was always an awful frontman... no singing abilities at all... angry doesnt make someone kool. now keith morris was black flag and after he left the band sukked... just my opinion though. and everyone says this because its true hold nervous breakdown next to tv party and guess what happens you turn nervous breakdown back on...

Well, no hardcore band coming out at that time really cared about the singing ability, I think the angsty and angry guys got the job of frontman no matter how they sang. All the band wanted was to send whatever message they wanted to loud and clear.

Keith Morris is hardly Art Garfunkel either, you know

Keith Morris "was" Black Flag? No no no, Morris didn't write any of the songs, that was Greg Ginn. If anyone ever "was" Black Flag, it was Ginn.

agreed but the frontman always makes or breaks the band which is why i said it was keith. and imo the band blew without him.

Are you saying that these bands were still good without their orignal frontmen?

i have to say ac/dc blew after bon scott died... and i never though van halen was a kool band to begin with. not saying eddie isnt a great guitar player but the band was always lame. but both of these bands like black flag survived on their former glory so that arguement as far as im concerned is nothing.
