The last point seriously has something to be said for it. I admit the thread title was made for good debate and it will never end till the universe is restored back to a speck of light!!!! I am glad I got you discussing it though. The boy band thing could be said to be his idea in some ways. But then there were the monkeys.
I love the one who said about velvet underground (that's what my brother always says) I loved seeing that.
I say James Dean invented punk....or could it be Marlon Brando?? But wasn't he copying Montgomery Clift!!! ah ha ha.
Right profile - The Clash!!!
This is a great forum and can seriously effect your work if your boss see's you!!!
ho ho ho.

What will malcom invent next? I'll start a book on it!! ha ha ha

I've already expressed my belief that punk rock goes all the way back to The Gospel.

We will have to agree to disagree folks as I may start another new thread called
"weren't British punk bands far superior to US punk bands in everyway thereby defining what punk rock was for later generations?
How many bands formed due to the pistols and the clash that we now know of?
Does anyone here like the punk band the exploited? If you do you know nothing about punk and are possibly very likely a little bit of a simpleton.
