yes, Marquee Moon is freaking great, need i say more?

A reason why would be acceptable however with an album like Marquee Moon it's pretty self-evident. I still remember the first time I ever heard it, I had just finished reading the book "Please Kill Me: The Oral History of Punk" which talked mostly about the New York punk scene in the '70's (Hardly the full history of punk but oh well) and a large part of it was dedicated to Television so naturally I got curious and took a trip to my local record store and saw a vinyl copy on the wall for 25 bucks, I bought it and I remember not being too impressed until the titular "Marquee Moon" came on and I was blown away. Maybe it was just that mesmerizing guitar lick or the analogue sound of my stereo equipment but it was almost like a trance took over me; I was still new to vinyl players so I didn't know how to rewind back but I got the same feeling when the last song "Torn Curtain" came on. The rest is history...

I've downloaded Marquee Moon and loved it. Should I get Adventure or Televion first?

Marqueeeeeeeeee Moon. Love that album, just right for when a punk wishes to just mellow out...

Adventure is great too, just softer.

Rocknroll_Animal 06-09-2010 02:35 PM

Softer? I haven't heard it yet, I should put that on my list.
