The Flaming Tsunamis are an excellent band By Force is a great song, I love the bass in it but I think they are more of a punk ska/3rd wave ska band then just pure punk

Definitely a skacore band at its purest, although they tend to break a lot of the 3rd Wave molds (Which is why I wouldn't exactly classify them that way). They tend to just interject horns during their pounding riffs and then break into a more traditional ska style at times (Perfect example of this being their song "Opus", by far my favorite by the band).

But one I'd totally suggest. They're worth checking out for any fans of that horn-driven ska-punk out there.

They are kinda ska core but from the ska core bands I listen to they tend to lay off the horns which is why I consider them more 3rd wave ska with punk but I see what your saying,

(ska core bands I like: Leftover Crack, choking Victim, Morning Glory etc.)
