^^ haha, good to know you got some laughs out of that. but in all honesty, I really dont mind them all that much. I don't like their music at all, but they're succesfull for a reason, which is good marketing, so props to them for that. They're making money the way they know how, and lots of people do like them, for whatever reason. Aside from all that, they don't do any harm by "posing as punks", so i really can't have anything against them.

I loathe all that Pop punk bullsh*t!! Pop punk is an abomination spawned from the same delicious primordial soup that punk music originated from--and it's an utter un-humanly mistake--a bloody crime, now I'm more of a metal head then anything--but I listen to the sex pistols, Rancid, the clash, and The Misfits at times--bands like simple plan, Sum41, and Blink 182 are a disgrace to the merry land of punk and they should all just dissapear--or die, whichever's quicker... which means as well that I despise the fans as well.

get over it. who cares if someone listens to music that you abhor. doesnt make them less of a person, or matter at all.

Ok, First off, I hate to say it but Punk Rock is dead! Yea theres still a few bands that play punk music, but it will never be what it was in the late 70's and early 80's. Whenyou have bands like Good Charlotte, and Simple Plan that are warping the punk scene you pretty much know its dead. Remember though, just because its dead doesn't mean you can't listen to it. Its still pretty big as far as underground music goes. I love ska and theres hardly anyone that knows what it is anymore, but we are in the process of getting this awesome SkaCore band off the ground. "Reel Camels Don't Smoke" ROCKS!
