The Last Van Zant
 

The Last Van Zant are a four piece, chameleon-hardcore-come-metal, outfit from South Carolina.

Their latest album American Blood crams 9 songs into 15 minutes, and the general style is a 4 minute black metal song crammed into 1 minute. I usually wouldn't be here to give you any low-down on anything black metal but the vocals are more than tolerable. It's interpretable screaming.

Anyway, the four songs on their myspace page are ace, hit them up if you like it fast and furious. 2 of them are from the American Blood album but I don't know which 2 they are.

Yes I've put this in the wrong forum, but it's here now, spiffing.

I really dig parts of their songs. I'm not a fan of the vocal delivery but I can definitely get into the stoner groove of the guitars. I listened to Otis and Tear My Head Off and I'd try and see them if they ever played near me.
