some of their gigs in England resulted in knife fights between the audience and crap. mosh pits are stupid. I like being able to see a band perform without being shoved around by teenagers who are there primarily to "act out".

Bottle fights occur at lots of gigs and pretty much at every festival ive been to, regardless of whos on stage. Its the same with mosh pits, ive been in mosh pits at indie shows. Its the crowd that start the pit, not the band. Well, most of the time.

really. I go to shows frequently without mosh pits. and there's never been a bottle fight. unfortunately there was a mosh pit on a festival I recently attended though. that was annoying. two of my favourite screamo bands were bringing the awesomeness, and all through their shows (especially one of them) there were kids with long hair and Megadeath shirts pushing me around. what's really annoying was when someone asked them what their favourite album by one of the bands were and they were like "uh I don't know I haven't heard any of them. but they are so ****ing awesome to mosh to. I just mosh the **** out of everyone. I'm so hardcore!" and so on. I mean, seriously. just go away. forever. it's incredibly annoying.

I stay out of mosh pits now, i have to admit and sometimes they can be annoying when you just want to enjoy the show. But its very easy to stay out of a pit and for it not to affect your enjoyment of a show. However, if you go down the front and middle of any crowd, its something you have to expect.
Either way, its not something to hold against a band. And yes, bottle fights are common at festivals. At least they are in England. They usually arent aimed at the band, its usually a fight between two sides of a crowd. |

I prefer standing somewhere where I can actually see the show, not way in the back because some fat dudes are busy pushing each other.
if bottle fights are usual over there, I'm glad I'm not over there.

well I had to for a few of the gigs on the festival I went to. and it sucked. but anyway I like Descendents better than this band, so I'm going to go listen to them and let you guys have your Gallows topic in peace.
I'm not a punk I'm just a square going nowhere.
