Which Bad Religion record should I get first? (lyric)

Like I said, most of the music they've recorded since the 80's isn't very good but I totally stand by their earlier output. And as for them being one of the "most original bands ever," that's just ridiculous. Flat-out laughable.

in that order. Just don't listen to too much Bad Religion, they don't have the most varied output, to say the least.

i ended up having a bunch of money and i just ordered how could hell and against the grain. and i bought empire strikes first. i'm listening right now and its pretty damn good. can't wait until the other two get here.

Bad Religion are boring as hell. They rehash riffs, harmonize vocals too often to make any impact upon delivery, and have never progressed stylistically.
If you're gonna put your ears through that, be mercyful and pick up HCHBAW.
Otherwise, get some Kerosene 454 if you're interested in "heavy" Pop-Punk that doesn't suck.

My personal favorite has always been "No Control." Graffin and the boys rarely disappoint, though. It is hard to go wrong, unless you chose "The New America" or "No Substance" as your one and only record. Both of those have some good individual cuts on them too, but are not start to finish amazing records. "No Control," "Suffer," "Stranger Than Fiction," and "The Process of Belief" are my choices for the most solid overall records.

I'm going to have to go with All Ages for this one. Most of these guys are right - they haven't really progressed with their sound too much, but lyrically, they can be right on point.
