Default Does anyone remember Minor Threat?

I remember when my dad let me listen to Minor Threat's only album. I have to say, for a one album band they are very good. You might want to look them up, but only if you like hardcore punk.

If anyone has heard of them or likes them please tell me if you like them or if you dislike them.

I don't think you HAVE to like Hardcore Punk to like Minor Threat, i didn't when i got into them. I think they're probably the best starting point for that genre along with Bad Brains.

Believe it or not I'm a fan. I respect them more for their cultural trend setting and over all influence than their music, but I still like most of their songs.

Default Minor Threat appreciation thread

I listened to Minor Threat's anthology on my way into work today and by the time I hit the front door I was ready to crush someones skull. Whatever happened to great harcore bands like this?

Ian Mackaye is pretty awesome, albeit his vocals post-Minor Threat are a little goofy. It's too bad militant *******s had to go and ruin the straight-edge movement...
