^it has to be subject. and you're right. it is not dead. bands like Andrew Jackson Jihad, this bike is a pipe bomb, the arrogant sons of bitches, bomb the music industry, and almost all of the folk-punk/ DIY scene are keeping it alive. what is sad is that even the glory days of those little movements are gone and that you have kids like violent and funky running around thinking they like punk and only liking a hollow shadow of what punk was.

First of all, I would like to know how old you are before you continue to call me a "kid". Secondly, we have different definitions of punk and yours isn't the only one that is right. I listen to punk music, while you only include bands that fit into punk culture...

my definition includes whats makes punk punk. yours includes anything that has power chords, all of that phony **** that just pretends to be rebellious even though it isn't fighting against anything. so go ahead, like it. just don't call it punk. grouping the **** you like with true punk bands is an insult to anyone who has ever fought for anything.

If someone who had never heard punk before came up to me and asked me what it was I'd include some pop-punk bands on my list. I think stuff like Descendents and Screeching Weasel are definitely punk bands and embody it.

But bull**** like this that people are calling pop-punk isn't.

Hell I like this stuff too;

The only Goldmember band I found is a Korean Indie Rock band. Do you mean Goldfinger?
