I like their really old stuff...but their new stufdf is bad...they cant perform it live because the new song..."felling this" or w/e its called has 52 tracks on the one song....they recorded it the put it together.

Well see, that's really what defines the "good" bands from the "great" ones now because being able to record good songs take some skill but being able to reproduce what u recorded live and sounding good, is a totally different skill and when you can successfully do both that really gives you the "great" status. Believe me I know how easy it is to record when you can have as many takes as you want and edit it heh... But when the live comes its totally different and theres not a lot of opportunity for mistakes, at least for the other members, If I miss 1 snare or accidently hit a rimshot instead no one knows except me as long as I hold the beat down

I like their old stuff, chesire cat, dude ranch, I don't really like enema, but the songs are still good live. Take off your pants and jacket is a pretty nice sounding album, with some really impressive musical works. The new one just blows the genre off and they go into their own thing, which i think is great. The songs on that album are just what they felt like playing, not thinking about any images. And yes, they can play them live, i saw the video on their sight. So what if they "sold out' they have loads of cash, and they play music for it. Right on

I don't mind them. Dude Ranch and their newest are good albums, but Enema and TOYPAJ sucked. Cheshire Cat and Buddha or whatever weren't bad, either.

Ive decided I do like the new one...Feeling this, the single, is the song thats probably most like the stuff on Takeoff..not too great, but the rest of it is kinda different..some of its pretty good.

So, Say I listen to blink 182 and such, and it's not considered punk.... then what is it considered? I've heard the term pop-punk... but I don't know?

I think that after dude ranch up until the new album, they were poppunk, but the new album really isn't pop punk, or at least I dont' think so. More of just good music lightly influenced by their earier pop punk days. I think it's all good.

Just curious, what do you think is just terrible? It's no big deal, I'm just wondering.
