They formed in Paris in '77 and pioneered a new brand of punk/post-punk that featured a drum machine, distorted punk riffing, and inventive synthesizer use that sometimes bordered on Neu-like synth washes. This, coupled with their occasionally experimental instrumentation made them THE most influential French punk band of their era. Well worth a listen.
