This is a list I just have to see. I really want to know which country ranks number one! And, is it the country that is happy, or, the people in the country? I read it ten minutes ago, and, I am still laughing. According to my lifetime of experience, and observation; I believe that the happiest people in America at least, are the mentally retarded. They are just happy to be here, and, carefree. No stress at all. I believe it's a blessing, and, I kind of envy them. I wish to be so fortunate. And, everyone feels this pseudo-sympathy for the 'less fortunate'. People stand up for things out of guilt, not compassion, or love. And, I can't even exclude myself totally from that category. And, your post is extremely accurate for the most part. These regimes do get set up, and, backed by the financiers. And, if they quit playing ball, they get torn down. The only point I disagree with is your apparent apathy. I can't debate your post. You are spot on. As long as there is money to made, and, opportunity to capitalize for those few elites, it will never change, and, we live, die, and deal with it. 'Republicrats'. That about sums it up Here's a pipe dream from a real political artist. It's not punk. It's riot folk, but, there's where you find the real political rants of prose and music. A lengthy, pointless rant with no argument. Sorry.

I'm not apathetic towards trying to find a solution to the mess that the world of politics is, I am apathetic to all currently accepted forms of answers when dealing with political sub classes and the left/right paradigm.
I'm extremely volatile towards the state of things politically, all of it and nearly every single practicing politician in it. Would love to see them taken out of congress and beaten within an inch of their lives by street thugs, only to be tossed in prison afterwards to become prison sex slaves. I hate them to the core and frequently send insulting letters with commentary to local and national political offices just for fun. No threats of course, but a clear indication of my distaste for their existence in public office. The world needs a mindset shift, that's all that will bring about an evolution in the world of politics. All current labels and categories are trash, ready to be exploited by the powers that be no matter the moniker and your little cliche lefty Rise Against, nor its big brother Rage Against The Machine offers no new view points that haven't already been tried and rehashed as failed attempts. The Libertarians aren't a good answer either, but at least they talk about sizing back the domineering state and cutting red tape. Aka, taking away some of the grasp that the global elite has. However, don't expect to see a Libertarian in any serious position of influence, they have lobby, the military industrial complex and brain washed, foolish, incorrigible voters. Good luck, and like I said, they only have 1/10th of something correct, one aspect in a sea of need. Haha, so forgive a little 'apathy'. There needs to be an elite class of some form. Its just that what evolved to be the human elite class is pure garbage and they have their hooks deeper than some petty political shift can correct. |

Anyways, I'm going to see Rise Against in May, quite ironically. They're a guilty pleasure, I'll admit (I used to like them quite a bit when I was about 13-14), but I'm more interested in seeing Title Fight, their opener.

Rise Against are straight (no orientation)! They can be preachy, but they have that catchy speed.

Yeah I like Rise Against, I've moved off the political stuff which I used to like when I was 13/14 I guess but they still have some great songs that I've always liked and still listen to-a bit of a rarity in comparison to most punk bands I've liked over the years and to be fair their albums have generally been consistently decent without being amazing.
Halfway There, Paper Wings, Swing Life Away, Saviour, Audience of One. Top songs. |
