I'm a big Rise Against fan. I've only really heard a choice selection of songs from "Siren Song Of The Counter Culture" & "The Sufferer And The Witness." I think it's their mix of melodic hardcore punk and political lyrics that really does it for me.

My favourite songs have to be "Bricks" and "Give It All."

P.S. I'm new to the forums, so Hello to everyone!

There best stuff is "Halfway There" "Like The Angel" "Voices Off Camera" "Life Less Frightening" "Rumors Of My Demise Have Been Greatly Exaggerated" "Survive" "Worth Dying For" And their acoustica. Everchanging is beautiful acoustic.

These guys are my current favourite band

I've come at them through a circutuitous route, if I remeber corectly, my route into the hardcore scene by favourite bands of recent times goes like this:

Brand New > Escape the Fate > Rise Against

As for Rise Against it turns out I had albums 3&4 thinking that I had albums 1&2, woops. I haven't purchased 1&2 yet, but they are on the list.

On my christmas list is:

The Blackout! The Blackout! The Blackout! by The Blackout
Still Searching by Senses Fail
Faktion by Faktion

I have Escape the Fate Radio on Pandora Radio - Listen to Free Internet Radio, Find New Music to thank for that to a degree, it's good for hearing new stuff in the same vein

But for all you Rise Against fans, I'm with you, but please point me in a new direction to keep me on my ongoing musical journey.

^I don't know if I would liken Sum 41...or Billy talent for that matter...to Rise Against.....whatever floats your boat..

Do check out AFI though, they're.....a little......more similar...I guess...

Authority Zero
Comeback Kid

try those...a little different....but if you like Rise Against, you'll probably like them.

Thanks peeps

I know Billy Talent, have both the albums, like the second more than the first tbh, but maybe that's just cause of the way round I bought them...

Strike Anywhere don't seem to be grabbing me in

I'll have to put some more research into the others

Everchanging was way to slow for Tim's voice though, if they had sped it up maybe 20 clicks I think it would've sounded perfect.
