We Jam Econo released TOMORROW
I've been listening to the Minutemen for years now and last summer I saw a screening of a documentary that took years to finally produce and distribute. This is long winded..."We Jam Econo" dvd will be released June 27, I recomend it to any fans, it has some great acoustic sets!
You can order it on www.theminutemen.com |

It's sad that this has fewer replies than the thread about Green Day and the All American Rejects..
I'm definitely getting this. I can't wait to see footage of their shows, and the interviews should be interesting as well. |

Yeah, its a real shame people who listen to those bands don't realize what influenced them, and that their influences were a lot better and not corporate punk rock like nowadays. But yeah, in the doc there's a clip of an acoustic version of History Lesson Part 2 that's AMAZING, George Hurley plays bongos.
"Feelin' Like a Gringo" - awesome, man! |

Sounds awesome. I have to say, George is my favorite punk drummer, he's tight as f'uck. He's also underappreciated (not surprising considering Boon and Watt's talent), but as a drummer myself I really enjoy him. I'm going to learn some of their songs soon.

I would get it, As I really enjoy their music, But I highly doubt it will be released here which would mean I would have to import it - Probably from the U.S or U.K - and that would cost me about $90...

I'm a drummer too, and I never really thought about it but my style is really influenced by Hurley. He took jazz and funk beats and mixed 'em with the conventional punk style...Awesome.
They actually had a hard time getting this distributed, I saw the documentary last summer. |
