Default favorite bands

Post your favorite bands, but let's try and prevent this from being a shallow list type of thread. And please, no bashing. Post a few of your favorite bands, and what they mean to you, and if there's any special reason.

Leftover Crack- One of my first "punk" bands thet I got into because they are a local band for me. I like Sturg's voice and his lyrics. Ezra's guitar really good and in my opinion, Ezra is a better musician then Sturg. They also have amazing bass lines. They combine many diferent styles together like punk, ska, and death metal.

Stockyard Stoics- Another local band. They are a DIY punk band from Brooklyn with strong lyrics and deep vocals. They always put on a great show and are amazing people who are very involved in the community. The only down side to this band is that they change members too often.

Refused- At first I did not like this album or this band because it was so different. They are a hardcore band that mix jazz, tecno (sp?), funk, ect, with screaming vocals and amazing political lyrics. They are one of the most original bands ever.

These are just some of my favorite bands.
