and you will know us by the trail of dead
talk about a little known band. they have four albums out, and nobody knows them. i know thrice does and goddam it, good on him. anybody who hasnt heard them, listen to them. they are one of the best bands i have heard for a long time. they are different, so not everybody will like them, but definately worth listening too
They remind me of the mars volta and at the drive in....
i love this band, except its hard to track down their albums, I haven't found any of them in stores, i've been combing through some second hand places but no luck yet :p
thats true. not many stores get in unknown bands. but they're beginning to make it big, so keep an eye out.
at the drive in and mars volta? what makes you say that? all three are great bands and im a big fan-acrobatic tenement is the best a.t.d.i. album agreed? |
definently.
Yeah, Trail of Dead are excellent. I kinda stumbled across them more than anything, they supported the Foo Fighters back in 1999, and they were LOUD. I loved it and went out and bought their first album straight away and followed them ever since. Over here they actually do have quite a decent following, like bands like Mars Volta and At the Drive-In, and Mars Volta even manages to get a few plays on MTV2.
Seems like they were on MTV2 a few times back in like 1999 or so. Good band. Also, "...And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead" is one of the coolest names ever.
that is a sweet name. after i read this thread yesterday i downloaded some stuff. i thought it was pretty cool myself.
ps - has anyone heard the new Midtown cd? its really good. its called. Forget What You Know |
its not just a name, but these guys are scholars. its due to the ancient mayan civilisation.its in one of the prayers to their gods. these guys are smart as well as extremely talented
I think the name might put some people off, expecting them to sound more like Slayer or something.
