I didn't vote for any of them, because they're all gimmes. I was hoping the list would have included some lesser knowns without having to opt for "other".

Well if you're talking about an "anthem", it should be relatively well known, no?

TumorAttitude 05-04-2009 01:32 PM

For Black Flag, I'd say "Depression" is better known, and more authentic.
What I'm measuring authenticity by, I do not know.

It seems people are voting for the Sex Pistols solely because they're well known....

True, but to me, there isn't much room for debate when comparing near-unanimous considerations.
I guess I just prefer things to be a little less spelled out.

Lots of good choices but Ramones - Blitzkrieg Bop stands out for sure.

SKAnk85 06-05-2009 09:52 AM

Got to agree; Blitzkrieg Bop, 100%. I LOVE that song. A lot of fun to play on Rock Bank too.

Rickenbacker 06-05-2009 10:43 AM

London Calling, I suppose. That bassline is particularly anthemic.

Dumm Duuuuhmm.... da da da daaa
