^ if it is off-topic than don't post in here. if you want to talk about it go to The Lounge.
I semi agree with Jonah. When anti-flag aren't hating on America they do have a good message which is to believe in something anything. I doubt they care if you turn conservative as long as your not apathetic. and I respect them for that. btw punk is dead. face it. punk changed. its no longer rebellious.

punks not dead, far from it, the rats have all gone underground and evolved. What you see around you is more than likely the remains that the scene has left for the corporate swine to feed off of.

punk as it was is dead. it has evolved much like you said. its also what i said. i used to be big into the punk scene so i still go to some lcal shows and stuff. all i'm saying is that people keep expecting a new Sex Pistols or somethnig when that style and attitude will never be reached again

there are bands still around that keep the same old approach to punk, but from what ive witnessed in my 14+ years in the scene is that alot of the bands that have kept the true attitude and beliefs that the original punk bands were known for, have changed the way they look and the music has become much more aggressive. Most of the punks I still hang out with find the whole 80s street punk style a joke now. The punk look when i started out was dyed mohawks and plaid pants "street punk" style, now when I go out to shows to see bands that are "punk" most are wearing hoodies/vests with dreads. There are tons of bands still playing with the original DIY/anti-establishment ideals that punk was started on, they just dont look like the typical "post-card punks" anymore. Theyve disasociated themselves with that whole look once it started becoming a mainstream freak show.
