It's not necessarily mono-focused. If put into the political spectrum, they encomppas many areas of politics. However, you are very right when you say that they just sing about politics (used here as a broad term). So I guess I agree and disagree with you.

I don't agree with them alot, but Drink Drank Punk, Safe Tonight, Die For Government, Mind The G.A.T.T., Kill The Rich, No More Dead, Confused Youth, This Is Not A Crass Song, Right On, and the like are classic punk songs

Well propaganda is all over because there isnt one truth but many opinions. I would rather be brainwashed by a group like anti-flag than Mr. Bush. Yes they are hateful of him, so what, so am I. Why not be hateful after all the Iraqi children and parents killed in this recent conflict. I would be damn suicidal if I was probably one of them. Its the people who have nothing to lose that are the most dangerous.
As for Music. I dont know much about talent or no talent, I tried to play the guitar and I have one, but it takes alot of time that i dont have and I would rather be organizing protest groups than practicing. They make my head bob and I love the lyrics and tone he expresses them in. Oh and to that wannabe rapper dude earlier, I dont know what he is talking about. Just because you go to shows of some talentless groups doesnt make you a certain "type" and doesnt make you part of something or would you want ot be anyways. I just dont see how praising someone with an ignorant nick name like "biggie" makes you go far in life. |
