Yeah, to me Weezer took a nose dive when Matt Sharp parted ways. They had some moments, but overall Matt contributed so much to their formula. I remember first hearing the Green Album and I was not impressed.

Blue and Pinkerton just get me more in the mood. As did "Return of the Rentals", which I think is a super fun album.

Thats exactly where they fell off. Matt was really the most integral part of that band and it showed in their follow ups. I can't imagine dealing with the ego of Rivers.
