Too be honest American Idiot has a similar meaning behind it as albums like Dookie and Kerplunk. American idiot might disguise itself as being all about **** politics and war, but if you look deeper its really a story about a teenager (most likely billie joe) finding himself and who he is. dookie is more of billie joe talking about situations in his life, american idiot is a story showing a more general idea of what happened to his life.
I think its an old story just put in a refreshing new style. Imagine if they made another album in the same style as dookie.. it'd just be boring to listen to the same **** again. Just my opinion |
