the members of KISS knew they didn't have a lot of musical talent. they've admitted, in TONS of interviews, that they weren't the best musicians by any means, but the reason they were successful was their image. that's why I dont like KISS, because of their image is everything mentality and the fact that their music is one dimensional, monotonous and boring, which is what I'm starting to sound like from having to explain this to you so many god damn times.

So 2 albums by John Lennon purposly being ****, is an okay excuse for KISS producing a catalog of ****?

The reason they were successful is because they made more money than everyone else. Wanna be musically credible, go be a starving jazz artist.

The STones success and Beatles success was all image based as well.

I believe they were the first band to take laser lights at concerts to the next level, feature huge props on stage and have a large projecting screen in the background, so when they were playing there would be animation clips, among other things...They were the very first band to do this, i believe.

I think Floyds Light show was better due to the dose of LSD you had prior to showtime.
