Jim Morrison was the only true rock star....i have all their albums, can't pick the most favourite, but i listen to l.a. woman and morrison hotel the most and the soft parade the least ( it got a bit strange with the orchestra in the songs )...man those were the days, when bands were putting out albums at least once a year...

the doors are tres good. i started to watch the doors film....tis good so far.

If you are talking about the movie starring Val Kilmer as Jim Morrison, it is decent but historically inaccurate. It portrays Jim as being an ass th his fans more than he really was.

but Kilmer's likeness to Morrison is uncanning, and did you know he sang all the songs himself,even the mans voice is similar...by the way in the movie Morrison demonstratively leaves college after people dump on his movie which is incorrect, he finished college and got a degree... the last scene of the movie destroyed me...

im the only one who finds them a tad overrated then.

ahh yeah thats the one....but yeah, as i say i havent finished it yet...and i think the resemblence to Jim Morrsion is quite...astounding.

how can you stop in the middle of a movie like that...or for that matter, how can you stop watching any movie ( that doesn't suck )...IT'S INSANE, INSANE I TELL YOU!!

All right some Doors fans! The Doors are classic and just so damm grovey how can anyone not like them? I don't dance but The Doors make me want to move. And as for Jim, whatever he may have been in real life, we will never know for sure the important thing to remember is he had cancer of the penis. ( hehehe)

You usually dont dance to the doors but, I see what u mean. You expand ur mind with the doors. They were not just some band in the 1960's, they were a fuking revolution. THe doors were for thinking outside the box

how can you judge the doors if you've heard a couple of songs ( the first album is fantastic granted, but their later stuff is awsome)...man, Jim could sing the blues ...

honestly, the doors without morrison would be nothing, the doors are legendary BECAUSE of morrison...btw, l.a. woman has one of the best openings to a song i've ever heard...i could talk about the doors for hours...

i watched that movie a couple of times, last time i watched it i was stoned , and that last scene, with the fu.cking background music just destroyed me...
btw, the scene when morrison demonstratively leaves college after people laugh at his movie is completly fabricated, he never quit college, he got his degree, manzarek was commenting on this and that's the only problem he found in the movie, i don't know why stone did that...

I don't have either of them, but based on songs that I've heard on the radio, we all know Jimi and Jim were great!! Thanks, I'll have to fork out more money now!! Lol.

i think the doors are touring with some singer, i don't know who, if manzarek deserves as much credit why isn't it the same...because the doors without morrison are nothing...

Yeah, he was a bit...overconfident. And high on drugs all of the time.
But I like his music, whether it's meaningful or not, I don't care...

I think your more right than you know. It does stem from a personal bias, though I don't know where it came from.
