Most overrated band in the history of the universe. Not bad, but geez, if you listen to people you'd think they were so great. Not a big fan of the Waters era stuff, but everything up to and including "Obscured by Clouds" and everything after and including "A Momentary Lapse of Reason" is good, everything between that stuff is probobly better left unlistened to.

Anyone who has tripped and listened to PF, which was your favorite album to do so with?
Surprisingly i have never tripped and listened to anything except a few select songs, so wondering which albums to try first. edit: (I assume DSOTM of coarse, as the first.)

You are trying to draw negative attention towards me so people won't notice your lack of positive input. It's not working, we see through you.
Anyway, the water's era music is pompous, pretencious, and least idealogically focussed of all of pink floyd's discography. Sure, they have the most grandiouse "concepts" and "themes" but they also miss the point they are trying to make by the widest margins. The albums look totally inward and make no conclusions. Self pity is not a world changing revalation. "The Division Bell" isn't great, but at least it's honest and looks at the world outside of itself. If my opinion is different than yours I guess that automatically makes me a troll, huh? |
