I think both bands did the same thing , but the opposite way round.

Pink Floyd were an experimental band & sacrificed that to become a stadium rock band , Radiohead were a stadium rock band that sacrificed that to become more experimental.

I think Pink Floyd`s best work was Obscured By Clouds but that always seems to get overlooked because of more successful albums. In fact The Wall just bores me to death.

Rick Wright was the keyboard master, you can't say pink floyd without thinking of a synthesizer and a mind bending solo by gilmour

no one ever recognizes ummagumma by floyd, one of their best albums

Radiohead have moved on a lot since The Bends tho'... you don't hear much Pink Floyd in Kid A... Autechre, Can, Aphex Twin yes...

I like the Floyd but much prefer Radiohead... better vocals, further outside the rock quotidian... plus Johnny Greenwood's an amazing musician - without him they'd be half the band IMO.

pink floyd is an awsome band with awsome guitar and some mind bending ideas...but they say that when he made the wall, that he kinda jumped the shark....

Pink Floyd, "The Wall"

I love Pink Floyd, and I think I can understand most of their lyrics, but In their movie, "THe Wall" I didnt understand the marching hammers and When hes singing "In the Flesh." So if someone could give me some insight it would be greatly appreciated.
