There are strong rumours that they will reunite for some gigs but only for charity. The entire proceeds would be going to charity according to Nick Mason.

Although the shows would probably contain no new material and they were never the most energetic live band out there I would still sell a kidney to see them as it would probably the last chance ever to see them.

Ticket prices would probably require you to sell a kidney too I expect.

BBC - 6 Music News - Pink Floyd reunion?

I have two of them : P But in all honesty, if I was lived by myself and wasn't under the supervision of my parents, I would sell my kidney and fly to anywhere that show would be. I have no idea why Rogers is so against a reunion tour. He is the Morissey of Pink Floyd.

I read somewhere, and loved this quote.
"Being high doesn't make Pink Floyd better, Pink Floyd makes being high better!"

So I heard Floyd is releaseing a bunch of remasters soon. Currently, I only own Animals, Wall, DSOTM, and WYWH. Should I hold off on buying more until the remasters, or should I wait for the price drops on the current ones (after remasters) and buy them then?

Piper at the Gates of Dawn - but it's not the usual Floyd, it's psychedelic

Meddle - pretty quality prog

Piper has already been remastered

I own all their albums but I'll probably just end up getting them as well, maybe I'll just get them for Christmas or something. The ones I am interested in are the Special editions of The Wall, Dark Side, and WYWH. Apparently some unreleased stuff on them, rare tracks, live tracks, should be great.

One of the most overrated albums in the history of rock highlighted by Syd`s boring old guitar noodling. Their second album without him was a far more interesting and atmospheric.

Thanks for the Recommendations Il. I plan on getting all their stuff eventually, just wondering if you guys thought it was worth waiting for the remasters?

The whole thing seems very vague ATM and I am not sure if we are getting more bangs for our buck but one thing is certain. They won't be mere re hashes of past albums just to create extra revenue (at least from the bands point of view) and I am hoping that fans can get hold of much more material than has been previously released.

I certainly won't buy anything just for the sake of it though and would want a return for re investing in past releases.
