I disagree...The Final Cut, ewwwwwwwww.

C'mon, The Final Cut isn't that bad. The continual war theme gets old at times, but the lyrics are up to par with the other Floyd albums. The only thing lacking is the dominating presence of Gilmour and Wright.

Yanqui_UXO 12-13-2005 05:20 PM

dude, seriously, the final cut is a tear jerker.

the gunners dream, your possible pasts, the post-war dream, self-titled track, two suns in the sunset, the fletcher memorial home

and one of pink floyd's lyrically most explicit (not to mention heaviest) "now now john"

Lyrics are great sure, but the music itself is very meh. The use of overstuffed musical and orchestra arangements is just one problem i have with it, another would be the fact that the band itself is very low in the mix, they lost a very important element in the music when they lost Richard Wright, his playing is sorely missed, and Gilmour and Mason are given little or nothing to do, and the vocals are just inferior to previous Floyd albums...I give Waters credit for trying something new, but the result was very disapointing.

Of course, thats just my opinion. :o:

I understand, those are the exact flaws I see in it as well. It's practically a Water's solo album. I think it would be a very popular album if Waters had let the other members be involved.
