Yes. They toured with Zeppelin in the late 60s circa 1968 and Page stole the intro to Stairway to Heaven from the song Taurus.

Will you be exploring this band/artists' other material?

Spinoff from Spirit produced bar none one of the best live bands of the 70's, Jo Jo Gunne. Sadly very little live exists by them (at least that I can find). Their studio work was good but it was their live performance that got everyone's attention. They sort of fell apart around 1974.
