Personally, as I've said before, I'd rate "Invisible touch" just above "Abacab" (just!) and possibly "Calling all stations", but other than that it falls far, far short of what Genesis were capable of, and what I expected from them. For me, this album was the beginning of their slide into mediocrity, and I don't care what "American psycho" has to say about it: this was the album that sounded the first peals of the death knell of this amazing band.
I think they rallied to a degree with "We can't dance", but it was less a resurgence and more a last gasp before the end. Then we got "Calling all stations". End of discussion, really. But fair play to you if you like "Invisible touch": I just doubt many others will be voting for it. I hope.
