Since I know from experience that casting multiple votes will not rank my votes in any way, it will just add one to the count for each album whose box I ticked, I just attempted to separate out what I consider the "first tier" from the rest. That simply meant a vote for all the albums from Nursery Cryme through to ...And Then There Were Three.
Not that there are no decent albums among the others, but these are the ones I think are outstanding. I think The Lamb is their masterpiece, but it did take me longer to appreciate than, say, Foxtrot or Selling England, and I would not recommend The Lamb as the first entry point for a Genesis novice. I consider Abacab the worst, followed by We Can't Dance and Calling All Stations. The debut is not bad once you get out of the mindset of expecting it to sound like a Genesis album. I like this version of Entangled by Steve Hackett, mainly because it's essentially the same song but 4 minutes instead of 8

Even though I consider SEBTP the only flawless Genesis album, making it perfect, I enjoy Invisible Touch a lot more for the sound I grew up with despite the flaws.

Hackett leaving was like Genesis getting a castration. Although Down and Out is a decent track.
