Default Advice required from Banter members

I have recently acquired a RP1 and would like to expand my collection of progressive music LP's (vinyl obviously).
What I am experiencing are some rather inflated prices though. $100 for one record, ridiculous.
Can members recommend some decent online sites where I might look for some good qulity music, at reasonable prices?

Grats on your RP1 I just got one myself.

I've no real advice on online vinyl shopping, though. I go buy LPs in stores.

Hi tore,
What colour did you get?
What colour mat?
What are you feeding it into?
How are you finding it?
This could be the begining of an RP1 owners group!!

I still haven't unpacked mine and given it a spin so it's not hooked up to anything yet. The reason is I need to get a phono extension and I haven't been in a rush to get it. I still have my old LP player and I listen to most of my music from my computer. I'm eager to give it a spin though, so I should definitely get that sorted out. You tried out yours yet?

The colour is all black.

If you go to progarchives.co.uk: The Leading Prog Archive Site on the Net and check the ads, I'm pretty sure there are some very solid shops there that specialise in prog rock on vinyl, and though I don't know the prices I think they're all music heads so would not be about to rip you off.

Worth a shot?

What's an RP1 by the way? I assume some top-of-the-range stereo equipment? Turntable? (The kids stare blankly...)

Yes I have been using mine for a week or so, tore.
Feeding a Musical Fidelity dual mono choke regulated amp into Monitor Audio RS8's [bi-wired].
The sound is very transparent indeed and shows up every imperfection in the vinyl, if it is second hand.

Indeed Trollheart, very useful suggestion, I will try it and thankyou.
The RP1 is only £230, so not top of the range, but it does a great job for the outlay.
