Fantasy Prog Band
Don't know if anyone has tried this before but hey -- it's Easter, let's have some fun!
Select your dream prog band -- you can choose any member from any band, living or dead, together, split up or reformed, with the obvious restriction that they must be from a recognisably prog band, ie a band the vast majority here would agree is a prog one. Since prog bands are/can be so eclectic, let's not limit it to the standard guitarist/bass/singer/drums/keys format: you can have any sort of instrumentalists in your Fantasy Band --- don't even have to have a singer if you dont want to! And let's limit it to a maximum of a ten-piece, not including (if you want one) an orchestra --- if you DO choose an orchestra to be in your band, please say which one. Oh yeah: in fairness, and to maintain some sort of originality, let's limit your choices to a max of two members of any one band, to stop people just picking say the entire Yes or Dream Theater or whoever lineup. Be creative! Could be a blast! Let's see what people come up with.... TH

Jeez guys! Keep it civil, huh?
Everyone's entitled to their own idea of what they'd consider a fantasy prog band, or not to play if they dont want to. No-one should be slagging off the choices of anyone else, as, as Milano correctly points out, this is HIS opinion, and he is as entitled to that as anyone else. Personally, I'm looking at this... Anne-Marie Helder (Mostly Autumn) on Vocals Nick Barret (Pendragon) on Vocals Gary Wehrkamp (Shadow Gallery) on Lead Guitar Mark Kelley (Marillion) on Keys Tony Banks (Genesis) on Keys Kevin Codfert (Adagio) on Piano Dave Gilmour (Pink Floyd) on Guitar Carl Palmer (ELP) on Drums Ian Salmon (Arena) on Bass and the London Philharmonic Orchestra That's at the moment, anyway.... Look, essentially it's just a bit of fun. Is not the title of this forum Music BANTER?? Play nice, or don't play at all, as they say.... Now where did I put that ninth Easter egg...?
