Oh my I can't believe I haven't posted in this thread yet. I don't visit this sub-forum as often as I should. Spirit is definitely one of the great under-appreciated bands of the late 60s...I enjoy their first 4 albums almost equally, though I do prefer the first two (Spirit and The Family that Plays Together. I think I discovered them sometime in 2009 but have been playing them a lot in the past few months.

I think there is another Spirit song besides "Taurus" that had a riff borrowed by Zeppelin, but I can't remember which. It's not from the debut album because I just happened to finish listening to it a few minutes before running into this thread and it didn't come to my attention.

i got the sardonicus album. great album. i heard clear once but i didn't like it much
